Whistler's premier luxury hotel.

Hotel Type

Ski Resort

Snugly nestled against the mountainside of Blackcomb Mountain, The Four Seasons franchises a luxury residency and lodging hotel. It's first Canadian hotel monopolized the recent Vancouver 2012 Winter Olympiad as well as satiating the overall need for a 5-Star resort in the area. The resort is located within a mile of Whistler Village, just the distance that makes it a little too far for convenient strolls in the evening without having to hop on the hotel shuttle or one's own rental car.

In exchange for a slightly removed location, The Four Seasons Hotel gives a guest almost everything one could ever need within a resort facility. A signature spa and gym features the latest in technology and design, located within the ground floor of the main hotel building. With only one restaurant, the bar acts also acts as a daytime cafe with roaring fire and opulent service. A courtyard pool offers evening glimpses of the distant mountainside and neighborly glimpses at the towering hotel amongst snow flurries and cups of free hot chocolate in winter. Interpretive Frank Lloyd Wright designs don't overwhelm the modest interior spaces, nicely accentuated with a great art collection yet far too few fireplaces.

The Room

Conceived as a hotel and residence, The Four Seasons Whistler offers amply sized accommodations suitable for longer stays and larger groups. Cavernous hallways with spare artwork are dotted with baronial doors leading to moderate guest rooms and multi-level suites. All rooms feature gas fireplaces and modestly portioned balconies overlooking the central courtyard, surrounding mountainside and the neighboring room. Wood-paneled guest rooms are decorated with leather club chairs, upholstered sofas and tufted-flannel ottomans. The bathrooms feature oversize tub, inlaid marble floors and spacious showers with high-pressure heads. Lower floors miss out on any type of view, while higher floors feature unobstructed views of the mountainside or Whistler Village.
